Splashwater Falls
Splashwater Falls is the park's resident Shoot the Chutes ride. Riders board a 20-passenger boat that goes up a lift hill, does a 180 degree turn, then plummets down a 50 foot drop. That's it. Shoot the chutes are park staples, but that doesn't mean they're necessarily great rides. If you want to get drenched, skip the ride and stand on the exit bridge. The wave created by the boat's splashdown soaks almost anyone standing on the bridge (though it does appear that the size of the wave has diminished somewhat in the past year or two - perhaps the overall water level here has been reduced to make Splashwater Falls a little drier?). Not a big shoot the chutes guy, but the ride delivers exactly what it's supposed to.
