Six Flags Over Georgia

Log Flume

This ride (which has undergone numerous name changes over the years - just in the last five years it had been "Log Jamboree" and "Deer Park Plunge") opened with the park in 1967.  It's a nonthemed log flume with one smallish drop.

I'm not a fan of basic flumes with one lift and one drop - I like mine a little more varied.  Granted, it's ludicrous to expect a park like Six Flags to be able to crank out a Splash Mountain but I don't think it's asking too much for a little bit of thematics.

As I mentioned, the drop is pretty short so it doesn't seem like riders get drenched.  Short unthemed ride or not, this thing gets a fairly long line and holds onto it for the better part of the day.  Of the three water attractions at Six Flags, I would certainly rate this as the least interesting.
