Six Flags Over Georgia
Fearless Freeps' Dare Devil Dive

Located in the Cotton States section of the park
This skycoaster is one of the medium varieties, measuring in at 180 feet
(the tallest one currently out there is 300 feet). Riders (1 to 3 total) are
pulled from the ground by a cable that is attached to the vertical launch towers
(in the picture at right, the two structures in the background are considered
the "launch tower"). Once the riders reach the maximum height, they pull a
ripcord that releases them and sends them (generally screaming their fool heads
off) in a near freefall to the ground.
The riders swing back and forth in a pendulum motion until their speed has
subsided to a point where they may be brought back to earth.
This is an upcharge attraction, and the rate varies based on the number of
riders.
It should be noted that these are very safe attractions. The manufacturer's
website states that the "flight suits" used by the riders are manufactured to
the same standards as FAA approved skydiving apparatus. Oh, and the cables can
withstand up to 9,000 pounds, so feel free to go ahead and take your mom on it
with you.
