May Vacay 2009

Disney's Animal Kingdom
Walt Disney World Resort

It looks a little cloudy, but since I forbade the rain from falling, I wasn't worried.

I only forbade it from raining long enough for us to enjoy some Animal Kingdom goodness.

The clouds kept the crowds away, so no complaints there.

We had an excellent view of the DAK opening show. I wanted Steve to hoist me up on his shoulders
so I could get an even better view, but he went on about his back or something.

Hey, Mickey!

Hey, Everest!

Obligatory flaggy shot.

Obligatory double train shot.

I see you Everest.

Steve let me ride in the back and control the up-up and down-down action of the dino.

There was close to no wait for Dinosaur that day.  I call that a score.

RAWR!

Moving right along. . .

It's believed that a turtle's shell developed from ribs. These specimens of early turtles demonstrate that perfectly.
They would have had a fleshy/cartilagy "shell" when they were alive.  The more you know...

After Dinosaur, we hit Pizzafari for Breakfast. The breakfast pizza was delish!

They had a plethora of monkeys in their murals.

OMG! It's a monkey in 3D!

The tiger is particularly frightening.
