Ouch!

That's a pretty common thing you'll hear from the fellas when they're riding Vortex.  They weren't paying attention when the restraints locked in, and they're going to spend two and a half minutes regretting that decision.

Vortex is a stand-up coaster, basically meaning that riders are, well, standing up.  There is a seat, but it's essentially an overglorified bicycle seat.  It's nothing you want to actually be seated on, especially on a ride like this.

This was the third B&M standup, and at that time they really weren't putting too many different elements on this type of ride.  The sheer novelty of something like this should have been plenty to get riders on there, and for 15 years it looks like that novelty keeps bringing folks back.  Vortex constantly has a line, so if you're going to ride it, you should head over there as soon as you're off Borg:Assimilator.
