Nickelodeon Flying Super Saturator

Opened: April 2000
Manufacturer: Setpoint
HEIGHT: 43 feet
TOP SPEED: 30mph
INVERSIONS: none
HEIGHT REQUIREMENT: 44 inches

Billed as the World's First "interactive" coaster, the Flying Super Saturator is indeed an unique attraction.  Each rider has access to a 4 gallon water tank that they can release at any point during the minute long circuit.  What they choose to do with their water (one release only) is entirely up to them.

Along the course are many separate water elements that can be controlled by onlookers.  Squirt cannons, gondola blasters, pump blasters - they're all controlled by non-riders to target people on the ride (some of the water devices actually require two people to operate).  So basically what you've got here is one giant water fight between the airborne folks and the groundlings.  And this water fight catches a lot of
innocent victims who inadvertently wander into the splash zone.  Odds are
good you'll end up soaked from riding this.  Not because of the folks
operating the water cannons, though.  The number one target for riders
seems to be the people waiting in the mostly uncovered queue.

The Flying Super Saturator is a fun, albeit brief ride.  The convoluted loading process (which also includes the automated reloading of the 4 gallon tanks) combined with only having a maximum of 4 separate ride vehicles pretty much guarantees a longer line, even on a relatively uncrowded day.  On colder days, it is not uncommon for the water features to be deactivated.  I have no clue why you'd want to ride it in that situation unless you're a credit whore (and YES, it is a credit - water feature or not)

NOTE - There's a lot of rumors out there about the future for this attraction.  We're not going to get in the business of reporting rumors (well, unless they're REALLY good ones), so for the time being we're going to leave this page up.  We can confirm that the attraction did close two months before the end of the season, but that's the only factual information currently available.  If the status of this ride changes, we'll make the necessary corrections here within two or three months (kidding - or am I?).
