Rip Roaring Rapids
Guests who are overwhelmed by the Carolina sun may want to
go queue up for this
whitewater raft ride. Although it is fairly short (between 3 and 4
minutes), Rip Roaring Rapids serves its purpose perfectly well.
Like any ride of this nature, how wet you get is dependent solely on your luck. If you're in the right place at the right time, you're going to get drenched. If you're in the other place at the other time, you'll get off bone dry and have the fun of making fun of everyone who got drenched. Don't gloat too much - karma finds everyone.
Since I've still got some space here, let me point something out. The point of a rapids ride, or a flume, or a shoot the chutes is to GET WET. This whole "wearing a poncho on a water ride" junk has got to go. If you're scared of heights, don't ride a roller coaster, if you're scared of clowns, don't go to the circus, and if you're scared of getting wet, keep of the frakking water rides.
