TPS Report

Cedar Point
(page 3)

Near Raptor, you'll find Calypso.  I can feel my stomach churning already.

On to the oldest coaster in the park, Blue Streak!

Interestingly, none of these pictures were taken inside the park.  There
was an otherwise creepy looking path that led us here.

Blue Streak gets a lot of hate from the fanboys, but it didn't strike me
as being that bad.  Bumpy, shaky, whatever.  It's freaking wood, morons.

Back to the Main Midway

With every fiber of my being, I want to hate Wildcat and wish it on a traveling fair.
But a Schwarzkopf is a Schwarzkopf, so I'll allow it.  For now.

For me, part of the appeal of these at the fair is wondering if the
heroine-addicted carnies put it together right.  When it's a permanent
part of the park, that part of the fun is just lost.  Oh well.

Right across the midway you'll find Iron Dragon.

Iron Dragon is the worst suspended coaster I've been on.  But when you're in
a category with Big Bad Wolf (Busch Gardens Williamsburg) and Top Gun
(King's Island), just being nominated is an honor.

Corkscrew.  One of the most cleverly named coasters out there.

A pretty basic Arrow looper, Corkscrew does its job.

Okay, time for lunch.  Rather than hitting up the myriad of
fair-style food on display, we opted for a sit down meal.

Karen is hungry.  And stuff.

She ordered some kind of foo-foo salad.  Pretty good for an amusement park,
and the prices weren't terribly unreasonable.
