TPS Report

Freestyle Music Park
(formerly Hard Rock Park)

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Okay, moving right along...

Rock & Roll Heaven is now Myrtle's Beach.
I'm not sure I entirely get it, but that's okay.

Sign looks familiar.  I guess the other guys couldn't
claim intellectual property rights on arrows...

I'm not sure what happened to the Gibson logo on the top...

Rasta Roll is no more.  I can support new owners
who get rid of carnival games.

Pennycollector machines are a nice addition.
I haven't done them in a while, but I may get back in the habit.

There were several other machines in the park with other designs.

Here's a swing you can't swing on.
I don't get it.

Reggae River Falls is now Polly Nesian's Splash Bash.
We'll call that one a tie, since the former name didn't make a lick of sense.

The water bucket seems to be operating just fine.

The Malibu Beach Party has been replaced with "Adrenaline Rush."
We didn't have time to see any shows, so let's defer to the park map for more info...

"A fast paced, high-energy competition will get your adrenaline pumping
as 'Team Extreme Rock' and 'Team Extreme Roll' go head to head in a race
for the World Cup Championship of Extreme Sports"

Hrrm.  Nothing in there about hot chicks in bikinis?  Downgrade.

Taste of Paradise is now Bali Hai Burgers and Bites.

While the tiki god dude is still there, the tiki idols of deceased rock start
have been removed.  Damn.  I always thought HRP should have sold mini versions.

Didn't catch the name of these guys, but they were
doing Beach Boys songs in a barbershop quartet style.

They were really good.

Led Zeppelin: The Ride is now "The Time Machine."

You can't tell from this picture, but the artwork going up each of those columns
are album covers.  It actually works pretty well.

Here's the modded back half of the zeppelin.  Considering how badly
everyone freaked when they saw it getting painted, I think they did a pretty
nice job with it.
