Epcot International Food and Wine Festival 2008
Cities in Wonderland

Germany's looking nice, as per usual.

Right across from this, you'll find the Munich stall.

Munich features Spaetzel with Creamy Mushroom Ragout ($3.25, and wicked good),
Regensburger Sausage ($3.75), and Apple Strudel ($2.75).  If you're not partying
over at Oktoberfest, they also offer:

S.A. Prum Blue State Riesling Kabinett ($3.50),
S.A. Prum Essence Riesling ($3),
S.A Prum Graacher Himmelreich ($5.50),
Schloss Reinhartshausen Old Vines Riesling ($5.00)
Beck's Pilsner 12oz/22oz ($6/$12.50)
Beck's Oktoberfest 12oz/22oz ($6/$12.50)

Italy wasn't too exciting.  Pizza with Sausage ($4.50), Baked Ziti ($4.50),
and a Cream Puff with Mascarpone and Gianduja Chocolate ($3.50).

Palacido Chianti ($4.00)
Sartori Pinot Grigio ($4.00)
Tantinel Prosecco ($5.00)
Moretti Beer ($5.50)
Virgin Primavera ($3.50)

We took a little time-out in Italy.

It seemed like a nice, quiet spot to hang out...

...unless you were this crazy kid swordfighting with himself...

But then the tranquility of the area was destroyed by the arrival
of a hi-lar-i-ous mime.  I thought mimes were French.  What gives?
No matter what the language, there's one decisive factoid.

Mime's suck.

Um, there's an interesting outfit.

One last shot while we're hanging in Italy.

Good stuff in Ireland.  Potato Leek Soup with a Dubliner Cheese Crisp ($2.75),
Boxty with Bacon Chips and Kerrygold Garlic and Fresh Herb Butter ($2.75),
and an Irish Cheese Selection with Apple Chutney and Brown Bread ($3.25).

All three of those were hella good.

Apparently there's not a lot of Irish wine out there.  All the
Ireland stall had to offer was Guiness ($6).

Uh-oh.  Maybe someone should have warned Disney what
happened to the last park Sister Hazel played...

Pearville Fair is all about the variety, flavor, diversity,
and nutritional value of one of the most important
crops from the great Northwest.

Okay, that last caption was totally BS.  I know.
I just totally plagiarized the Festival Guide.

I'm not a huge pear fan.  Whatever.

But if you are a fan of pears...they've got them in bulk.

This carnival mirror was set up to help visitors see what
they would look like if they were pears.

Looks to me like we belong on that Little People, Big World show.
