Memorial Day Weekend 2008
Although Steve's ridden it a few times, this was my first Everest ride. Being infamously "acoaster" (that's a scientific word meaning not a coaster rider. Wait, if I make it up does that make it scientific?), I'm pretty pleased with myself for finally riding it. I'm glad we snapped this shot because my eyes were closed in both of the on ride photos, even after two concentrated efforts to keep them open (that's right, I rode it twice!)
They should sell reproductions of this. I'd buy one in a minute
At first blush, Steve and I didn't like this area of the park much. After visiting some smaller mom-and-pop type amusement parks, we chalk it up to just not getting it.
Love, love, love the Trike Spin! I know that's not the ride's name, but it's catchy isn't it?
This ranks high on my wild mouse list. To date, the one at Beech Bend, KY is #1. This trip, we finally got on the other track.
Pizzafari is a counter service restaurant with an AMAZING dining area. The walls and ceiling are covered with brightly covered animals and plants. This monkey was giving me the eye while I was eating, the cheeky thing.
The area outside of Dinosaur has all kinds dinosaur skeleton castings.
In an amazing feat of timing, we managed to
have 3 pairs of fastpasses at once.
