Day Five: Heading to Kansas City

Josh and Brandi got a head start on us heading to Kansas City.
We have a bad habit of stopping whenever Karen sees something shiny...

Do we really even need a caption here?
OF COURSE we stopped at the Kum & Go!

While at the Kum & Go, we scored a genuine Missouri delicacy - the Cherry Mash.

Suckers got some weight to it.

Here goes nothing.

Okay, so a Cherry Mash is a lot like the pieces that get left
in the Whitman's Sampler for last.  Not bad, but it's not the middle piece.

After seeing lots of billboards, there was really
no question that we had to stop at Osceola Cheese.

At first glance, it looks kinda questionable.

But a little mouse claims that it's um.....good? He looks like a trustworthy fellow.

OH MY GOD . . . IT'S FULL OF STARS!
There's sample containers of damn near every variety they carry,
which essentially makes this a cheese buffet.  And it's all pretty freaking tasty.

In case you were lost, ewe's in the country.
Get it?  It's punny?

That's a converted single wide.
Awesome or Awesomely bad?

Gorgeous day.  But still stupid hot.

I have nothing to say here, but I bet Karen has something smart to add.

K: Not much to share. The only notable thing I found is the southwest part of this man-made
lake fills the
Weaubleau-Osceola meteorite impact site that's believed to be over 300 million
years old. You know, the only difference between a
meteoroid and meteorite is location.
Meteoroids are found in space. When they enter the atmosphere, it becomes a meteorite.

If you're fighting space pirates in hopes of destroying Mother Brain, then that's called Metroid.

I never destroyed Mother Brain.
:(

So at the Deli Bar, you can have a hot dog for breakfast.  Okay, I get it.
But what about the salad sandwich and the ice cream taco?

K: I like how it looks like there's a line through CLEAN.

I have never seen a tamale dispenser such as this.
There's nothing good about a tamale dispenser such as this.

Why would anyone want to eat something that was in a tamale dispenser such as this?

Well, I didn't fill up on the free cheese buffet...

So of course I'm going to try one.

By the way, totally nasty.  But 2 for a dollar is a great bargain.

And let's wash it down with some Sugar Cane Cola.
Bad idea.  It tastes like flat Pepsi.  And Pepsi sucks.

Confusing Target is confusing...
